Hi! 👋 I’m Siyu (Coco) Zeng, I just finished my first undergraduate year at Brown University studying Applied Mathematics and Computer Science. Prior to that, I lived in Beijing, China, Saskatoon, Canada, and Toronto, Canada.
This summer, I am interning at the Royal Bank of Canada as a Machine Learning / AI Engineer on the Digital SRE team — I’m currently implementing some pretty exciting stuff to make our classification and search models super accurate while being low-latency and memory-efficient. On the side, I do AI research at Serre Lab at Brown University, focusing on how to make computer vision models better by making them mimic biological vision in some ways. I also write Olympiad-style math problems for the Brown University Math Olympiad.
I love thinking about difficult and fun problems, such as how to build AI that reasons and generalizes like humans, making AI models interpretable and aligned with human values, and building efficient and scalable infrastructure to serve these AI models. I am the founder of the new AGI club at Brown.
I also implement things that would only come up as “shower thoughts”. Check out my professional tomfoolery for more.
